Welcome to TeamForFilm. We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, and the choices you have when you use the TeamForFilm website, mobile applications, and related services.
TeamForFilm is a professional platform for actors, filmmakers, crew members, production companies, and casting professionals to create portfolios, discover opportunities, communicate, and manage parts of their professional workflow.
When you create an account, complete your profile, apply for opportunities, or use our services, we may collect:
Our systems and service providers automatically receive or generate limited technical information needed to operate and secure TeamForFilm, including:
The TeamForFilm mobile app does not currently request access to your device's GPS location or address book. Location fields in profiles, jobs, companies, and Share-Gear listings are entered by users.
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we may receive basic account information such as your name, email address, and provider account identifier as permitted by that provider and your settings.
We use the information we collect to:
Depending on where you live and the feature you use, we process personal information to perform our contract with you, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, or for legitimate interests such as operating, securing, and improving TeamForFilm. You may withdraw consent for optional processing, but withdrawal does not affect processing completed before that request.
TeamForFilm is built around professional discovery. If your profile or parts of your portfolio are marked as public or visible on the platform, they may be shown to other users, companies, and visitors on public profile pages, search results, listings, or shared links.
This may include your name, professional category, film departments, bio, career details, awards, trainings, filmography, profile image, gallery media, showreels, reviews, and other information you choose to include in your public-facing profile.
If you mark a profile as hidden or private where that setting is available, we will attempt to stop showing that information in public discovery surfaces going forward, but cached copies, prior shares, or third-party captures may still exist outside our control.
When you upload portfolio content such as images, videos, audio files, documents, or related metadata, we use that information to host, display, organize, and deliver your professional profile and workflow features.
Uploaded media may be visible to other users or the public depending on the profile, project, job, or visibility settings associated with that content.
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
We never sell your personal information to third parties.
TeamForFilm currently relies on third-party infrastructure and platform services, which may process data on our behalf. These may include services for authentication, cloud database and storage, website hosting, file delivery, push notifications, sign-in providers, and video or media integrations.
Examples may include Firebase and related Google Cloud services, Apple sign-in services, Google sign-in services, Expo notification infrastructure, and media or link integrations such as YouTube where users add or view linked content.
The TeamForFilm mobile app does not currently include advertising SDKs or dedicated third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. We will update this policy and the applicable store disclosures before adding such services.
We use access controls and encrypted network connections to protect data transmitted between the app, website, and our service providers. We also use technical and organizational safeguards intended to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
If you enable notifications on a supported device, we may store device- or app-level notification identifiers such as an Expo push token or similar push-delivery token so we can deliver notifications to that device.
Notifications may include job or casting activity, application updates, profile or workflow updates, reminders, messages, review-related activity, security alerts, and product updates. You can manage some notification settings inside TeamForFilm and some at the device level.
Depending on the platform and features you use, TeamForFilm may request access to your camera, microphone, photos, files, or notifications. We use these permissions to let you capture or upload portfolio media, attach files, record or submit relevant content, and receive alerts or reminders.
You can usually control these permissions in your browser or device settings, although some features may stop working if the required permission is denied.
You have the right to:
The website and mobile apps use cookies, device storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, saved settings, cached app data, reliability, and security.
TeamForFilm does not currently use this information for third-party behavioral advertising. Browser controls can limit cookies, but disabling required storage may prevent account and session features from working.
Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we use contractual, technical, and legal safeguards for these transfers.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to operate TeamForFilm, provide the services you request, maintain appropriate business and security records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, whether the information is part of a public or collaborative workflow, and whether we need to preserve records for legal, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or security reasons.
We retain account and profile data while your account remains active. We retain push tokens until you disable notifications, the token becomes invalid, or the account is deleted. Content shared with another user or company may remain in their records where necessary to preserve a legitimate application, request, safety, or dispute history.
You can delete your TF2 (TeamForFilm) account from the mobile app settings or request deletion through ouraccount deletion page.
Deletion removes your authentication account and associated profile, portfolio, application, connection, message, notification, Share-Gear, and uploaded-media records. We may retain limited information when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the revised policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
