Swastima Khadka's film career has grown from a youth-cinema debut into one of the more varied acting records in recent Nepali cinema. Hostel Returns introduced her in 2015, and the next phase moved quickly through Love Love Love, Chhakka Panja 2, Nai Nabhannu La 5, Jai Bhole and special appearances in widely circulated film songs. Those early credits placed her in commercial spaces where visibility matters, but they also prepared the ground for a sharper performance turn. Bulbul became that turning point. Playing Ranakala, Khadka moved into a character-led story about work, family and survival in Kathmandu, and the film later represented Nepal in the 92nd Academy Awards international-feature race. Her performance brought National Film Award 2075 recognition, along with later award entries tied to Bulbul from Box Office Film Award and INAS records. That recognition changed the weight of her filmography: she was no longer only a familiar screen presence, but an actor whose strongest work could carry a demanding central role. The years after Bulbul show an artist balancing popular cinema with more intentional authorship. Chiso Manchhe, Pashupati Prasad 2: Bhasme Don, Aincho Paincho and Dimaag Kharaab kept her in active release cycles, while Dimaag Kharaab added National Film Award 2080, Cine Circle Award 2080 and Gopikrishna National Film Award 2080 leading-role wins. Behuli From Meghauli is especially important because it lists her as both cast and producer, and newer credits such as Basanta, Hari Bahadur Ko Jutta and Lalibazar show a career still expanding beyond the single role that first defined her awards breakthrough.
